FB-111.net

The website dedicated to the FB-111A

Credits and contributions

This site will expand and become more interesting as the information becomes available to the website! I've heard from a lot of people who were associated in some ways to the 'FB' and the degree of interest in the subject ranges from 0 to 100. Luckily for us, some people have come forward, shared infos and other items of interest to be published on the site. Unfortunately, some have declined our invitations to share their memories and I hope they will change their mind one day. Remember that this is a non-profit website and all infos and other items will be credited to the right person. All infos are carefully cross-checked for accuracy and if you find any discrepancy, let us know what it is and give us the right info if you can. About me

My name is Philippe Colin, born in France and living in Canada since 1968. Many are surprised to see a Canadian behind this website. My interest in military aviation goes back a long way. I started going to Plattsburgh AFB in the mid-eighties and really loved the FB-111A. This is when nose-arts started to appear on the planes. I had a website dedicated to promote interest in the Air National Guard in New England and New York State and had created a page about the nose-arts on FB-111s in Plattsburgh and Pease AFB. This was before Facebook and Instagram. A website was the source of information and this was a new form of media. In 1996, I created FB-111A.net, a website dedicated to the aircraft and the people who served with it in Startegic Air Command. Thanks to a few individuals willing to help, the website grew rapidly. This lasted until 2009 when the site was deactivated. After a much needed upgrade and a new look, the site was reactivated in 2021 with a new name, "FB-111.net".
FB-111.net does not have a Facebook page but many other related groups do. A lot of time has been spent in research through the internet and locally in Plattsburgh, like SUNY and the Plattsburgh AFB museum. In 2023, I became a volunteer tour guide at the PAFB museum.
I hope you will enjoy your visit to this website and any comments are welcome. Donations of all kind to the Plattsburgh AFB Museum are welcome as well.
My salutations!
